Are you tired of your interfaces going down and having no way to know until somebody notices that no database updates have been occurring? What if you had a utility that would constantly monitor your inbound and outbound directories and automatically email you when certain thresholds are met? Thresholds like;
1) Over x files in a directory. This would indicate that the application that is supposed to be processing those files is not active.
2) Zero files in a directory for a specified period of time. This would indicate that the application that is populating that directory with files is not active.
3) Over zero files in a specified directory (such as a failed transaction folder). This would alert you to failed messages.
4) The newest file is over x minutes old. This is perfect to monitor LOG files. If the log file has not been updated in x minutes, that means that interface is not active.
These are just a few of the applications for this utility that allows you to be proactive in maintaining your interfaces.
Swearingen Software is excited to announce the release of FileAlert, the utility that does all the above and more!
