Thoughts from Randall Swearingen

I just returned from the Swearingen Software User's Conference held in Key West, Florida last week.  The weather was beautiful, the conference was great, and great ideas were flowing like the ocean.  I always look forward to this time of year with great anticipation.  While spending 3 days with our users, I had the opportunity to listen to their requests and needs as well as spend quality one-on-one time with them.   I plan to use that input to guide the future direction of our software and company.

Of all of our conference activities, as usual, the brainstorming sessions were the most productive.  The microphone was passed from user to user and each user was asked to make one suggestion for an enhancement or change to the software.  The users then voted on those suggestions, and any that received an average score of 7.5, or better, will automatically be put into the next release of our software.  We had a multitude of brilliant ideas, and our development staff is already hard at work to implement these changes and enhancements.

We also debuted RISynergy Version 5.2, and its host of new features.  The reaction from the crowd was more than positive.  Also, the excitement over last year's enhancements and suggestions was evident as our users were able to see  them in practice.

During one educational session…I realized something.  Listening to users has helped make Swearingen Software the best Radiology Information System in the market, has led to 24 years of leading the industry in customer service and satisfaction, has led to loyal company/client relationships, and has helped propel Swearingen Software to the forefront in this market.

It just goes to show that our users are one smart group…
